A university is only as good as its staff, and the staff of Elderwood is an impressive collection of some of the most brilliant, eccentric, and downright mysterious arcanes in the world. Let’s get to know a few of them!
Headmistress Windworn
The woman at the top of it all, Rosemary Windworn is calculating and ambitious, a force to be reckoned with. Bringing you into Elderwood is her idea… but are you just a pawn in her game?
Fun Fact: Windworn isn’t just the head of Elderwood; she’s the visionary behind the school and the reason it was founded.
Professor Iyer
Class: Erolis
Effortlessly charming, Professor Iyer is a campus favorite… and the subject of more than a few crushes. His class is always one of the most popular.
Fun Fact: Iyer also serves as the campus medic, responsible for healing wounds and mending broken bones.
Professor Littlestone
Class: Sikranos
A thoughtful and reserved scholar, Professor Littlestone is knowledgeable about a wealth of subjects… including your father’s rebellion.
Fun Fact: Littlestone is also an experienced rune crafter.
Professor Malum
Class: Ikaris
Professor Malum is perhaps Elderwood’s least popular professor. Malum has no patience for anything short of brilliance… but has a soft spot for the few students who somehow manage to impress him.
Fun Fact: Malum is obsessed with the magic of time and seeks to be the first arcane to reverse it.
Professor Nightrun
Class: Timoros
A brilliant arcane on the cutting edge of her field, Professor Nightrun teaches the magic of fear. Despite her frightening subject matter, Nightrun is one of the friendlier professors on campus.
Fun Fact: Nightrun’s real passion is her research into dream magic, research of questionable legality.
Professor Slatewater
Class: Felicis
Professor Slatewater is the oldest and most reclusive professor at Elderwood, emerging from her cottage only to teach. She seems like a sweet, harmless old lady… until you meet her most unusual pet.
Fun Fact: Before working as a professor at Elderwood, Slatewater was a powerful politician and the champion of a pacifist movement.
Professor Xolin
Class: Penthos
Professor Xolin is tough but fair, running her classroom with an iron fist and no tolerance for tomfoolery or anything that would threaten to blow up the many, many spark runes in her cabinets.
Fun Fact: Before serving as a professor, Xolin was an athlete and is still one of the most skilled Fireball shots in Austerea.
Professor Zaratis
Class: Survival
Rugged and ruthless, Antheon Zaratis teaches Survival Training, aka whipping all the students into fighting shape. Part drill sergeant and part monster hunter, Zaratis is a professor you definitely don’t want to cross.
Fun Fact: Zaratis is also in charge of enforcing discipline and making sure the school’s rules are being followed.
Mentors or Enemies
