Launching a game is a potent brew of excitement, relief, nerves, fear – honestly, every single emotion you can think of, all wrapped up into one thrilling instant.

Release.

This idea you’ve been working on for months and years, an idea you watched slowly transcend the ephemeral and become real… that crazy idea is now going out the door to be experienced by millions of people you haven’t met,  but hope to find an emotional connection with.

Last week, we released LOVE & MAGIC™: SPELLFYRE, and I want to take a moment to talk about what this launch represents.

A launch isn’t the end of something. It’s the next step in the conversation.

Built With Players, Not Just For Them

We’ve been thinking about you since day one. From our very first conversations, we asked ourselves: “What do our players want?” Long before we even had a story, we had you – our light in the darkness.

You responded to polls in our newsletter. You made your opinions known on Reddit. We listened closely. We took notes. And we made adjustments.

More recently, when we released our first early access build, over 20% of you took the time to fill out a player survey in the game. That level of care still amazes us.

  • You told us where the pacing dragged

  • You told us which characters you wanted more time with

  • You told us which systems felt confusing

  • You told us where the economy wasn’t working

And we listened.

Some of the most meaningful changes in the game exist today because players spoke up:

  • Story beats were reworked to land with more emotional weight

  • UI and flow were streamlined based on friction you called out

  • Rewards, progression, and tuning were adjusted to better respect your time

This is one of the quiet truths of game development. Every game is a collaboration. It’s shaped by everyone who plays, questions, critiques, and cares enough to give feedback.

Last week, we released LOVE & MAGIC™: SPELLFYRE. And that “we” includes you.

To Infinity & Beyond

This launch is a moment when we can finally share a world we love with everyone else.

LOVE & MAGIC™: SPELLFYRE is a world built around emotion, choice, romance, and consequence. A world where magic isn’t just something you cast, but something you feel.

And where we go from here depends on you. You will tell us:

  • Which storylines deepen

  • Which systems expand or evolve
